The holidays are for gathering with our loved ones, creating new memories, and celebrating meaningful traditions. But that takes work. 20 extra hours a week, to be exact.
With the Amazons of the world talking about speed and efficiency, Target saw an opportunity in creating an eye-to-moment with their Guests, helping them feel acknowledged and supported during a hectic time of year.
We created a campaign called “Thinking of You”, celebrating the uniquely personal ways all our Guests make the holidays meaningful. And by showing the world all the different ways our Guests celebrate the season, we also proved that Target turns what you want to do into what you can do.
We kicked the campaign off with Spanish and English language anthems that pay homage to all our “holiday heroes” – the people in our lives that make the holidays meaningful in their own unique way, year in and year out. No matter what kinds of moments they create – big, small, gifting, or gathering – they deserve to be seen and celebrated.
All of Target’s Guests deserve to be recognized and celebrated. We created a Spanish-lanuguage anthem to complement our general market one, insightfully honoring the holiday heroes within the Latinx community.
The heart of our “Thinking of You” campaign is thoughtfulness’ ability to bring us together. No matter how we celebrate the holidays, we all have one thing in common: we want to feel loved. Our musical collaboration for the campaign brought this feeling to life in an unexpectedly wonderful way.
The anthem of our campaign is a new interpretation of the 1970’s classic, “I Feel Love”, recorded by Multi-Platinum, four-time GRAMMY Award® winning artist Sam Smith, in collaboration with producer Guy Lawrence of Disclosure. Mexican singer and actress Danna Paola brings a Latin twist to the recording for our Spanish language version.
